Our Story

A little bit of history from the venue owners, JP & Michele Perron: Before our building was The Booking House, it was known as The Old General Cigar Co. Warehouse. Built back in 1884, it served as a cigar production facility for more than 50 years and is now recognized as a historic landmark. Over the years, the building was repurposed for various uses, primarily as storage space. Our family initially sought a warehouse to store construction equipment when a friend introduced us to this building. Located in the heart of Manheim's industrial section, a town with strong community ties where we raised our family, we immediately saw the beauty in this old brick structure with its thick chestnut beams and wood floors.

As we showed the building to friends, we all shared the same thought, “This would be a great place to have a party or wedding!” What began as a dream turned into a plan. We decided that with a little TLC (well, okay, a lot of TLC), we could restore this old beauty for many people to enjoy as a venue for their special occasions. Construction began in October 2013, and renovations were completed in July 2014.

We continue to update features throughout the building each year, both big and small. In the summer of 2022, we discussed the idea of offering our wedding couples and event clients a unique space within the building that provided an outdoor feel without the stress of weather. By September 2023, The Atrium was complete! The Atrium offers various features, including a 13’ x 13’ skylight, six large garage door windows, a stunning chandelier, white brick, and concrete floors.

As we approach a decade in the event industry and celebrate hosting over 800 events at our venue, we remain committed to evolving as a close-knit work family to enhance our service for all our clients.
